• Photos and videos of your dog that you upload
• Your dog’s profile details (name, breed, age, preferences, etc.)
• Messages or support communications with us

• Device information (device model, OS version, app version)
• Usage data (features used, interactions, performance data)
• IP address and general location (country/region level only)
• Analytics data that helps us understand how BarkOS is used

Payment information

Purchases are handled by the App Store or payment processors.
BarkOS does not store or process full payment card information.

We may combine information we collect to improve your experience.

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service

• Create AI-generated interpretations of dog emotions (“Outputs”)

• Personalize features based on your dog’s profile

• Fix bugs and improve performance

• Develop new features and functionality

• Communicate with you about your account or updates

• Protect users and prevent fraud or misuse

We may send you optional product emails or notifications. You can opt-out anytime.

Dog photos you upload are used to generate Outputs using artificial intelligence.

We may use anonymized versions of your photos and related data to:

• Train and improve our AI models

• Enhance accuracy and performance of the Service

Anonymized data cannot reasonably be linked back to you or your dog.

We will not use identifiable photos for marketing without your explicit permission.

We do not sell personal information. We only share information with:

• Service providers who support app functionality (cloud hosting, analytics, AI processing, customer support)

• Law enforcement if required by law

• Successors in case of a merger or acquisition

All service providers are required to protect your data and use it only for their assigned tasks.

• Photos and dog profile data are stored until deleted by you

• Account information is stored while your account is active

• Anonymized data may be retained to improve our models

• If you delete your account, identifiable data will be deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption, secure storage, and access controls.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection. You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Update or correct inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your account and photos

• Withdraw consent for optional data uses

• Request information about third-party processors

You may delete your account and associated personal content directly within the BarkOS app by going to Settings → Delete Account. Once your account is deleted, your identifiable data will be removed or de-identified within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law. You may also contact us to request data deletion assistance.

BarkOS is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete the information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe we have collected data from a child may contact us.

We operate primarily in Canada and the United States. Data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable laws and maintain similar levels of data protection.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of BarkOS means you accept the updated Policy.
